Frequently Asked Questions
1. What escape rooms are the party packages available for?
Detonate (where the team’s museum tour becomes a quest to defuse the bomb) is available for party bookings for groups of 7-11 year olds.
Portal (where the team will travel to Victorian Alton to retrieve elixir ingredients before they are stuck in the past for good) is also available for older groups aged 11-16.
2. What can the party room be used for in the Agent and Elite packages?
You can use the escape room itself as a private party space after your game! Bring your own food, drinks, birthday cake, and party fun – we’ll reset the room lighting and make it the perfect space for your celebration. Detonate is great for high energy party games. Portal is better for a more sophisticated celebration.
3. What’s included in the party bags?
While the exact contents may vary, they typically include:

If you want to add any of your own items, including a piece of birthday cake, just let us know.
4. Do adults need to accompany the children during the escape room?
All players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, but not necessarily in the room. You’re welcome to join the game, relax in our reception lounge, or grab a coffee in the square – as long as you’re nearby with your phone in hand in case we need you.
5. How many children can join a party?
Our parties are designed for 6 to 12 players in Detonate and 6 to 8 players in Portal (not including accompanying adults).
6. Can we bring our own food and cake?
Absolutely! Bring whatever food, snacks, or birthday cake you’d like – just remember we don’t have kitchen facilities, so things need to come ready to serve.
7. Is the experience tailored for younger players?
Yes! For our junior school players (ages 7–11), we tweak the experience slightly to make sure it’s accessible and fun, with a focus on teamwork, discovery, and laughter. For older groups, the rooms are run at full challenge level.
